Crofton under 13's won division 3 in the charles rice league last season but struggled to put out full sides for their last few games mainly due to injurys. Another 2 or 3 players for next season would hopefully mean they have a chance of doing well again this time in a higher division . We look forward to having all the lads from last season back again and hopefully a few new ones. Training is Tuesday at 6pm. for any more detail please contact Mark on 07974627202

Against some stiff opposition Crofton made it gala win number 5
A great start for Crofton with a 4.0 win against Beeston but not so good in game two losing out 1.0 to Garforth Villa, back to winning ways against Kippax and Strathaven Dynamo's who had made the trip down from scotland and Crofton finish second in the group. A flying start in the semi scoring two early against Garforth's so called B side but Crofton had to hang on at the end for a 3.2 win. The side that beat them in the group were the opponents in the final and after a goalless first half Crofton's player of the tournament Josh Marsh somehow put the ball over the keepers head to score from the dead ball line. A defensive slip allowed Garforth back level and both sides looked out on their feet but one last effort from Crofton and Matty Tate won it with almost the last kick.
Another tournament win lads. crofton got off to a great start with a 2 nil win over rotthwell town danny mackey got both the goals the second game was another 2 nil win with ozzy and hinitt getting the goals the third game was a 7 nil win and a great team proformance from the lads with ozzy scoring 4 warren 1 hinitt 1 and chappy 1 the forth game was a 0 0 then the last league game was a 1 nil win hinitt getting the goal the semi final was a 3 1 win over monk fryston and the final was a 3 nil win wiith danny mackey scoring all 3 all the lads played well all day
well done lads fletcher, grant,wozzer,micky,hinitt,mackey,ozzy
Crofton fell short of the mark last weekend losing 2.1 in the semi final at South Leeds and missing out on a semi spot on goal difference at Durkar but they certainly made up for it with a double today at Batley. In the A group Crofton made a slow start drawing their first 2 games but improved as the day went on and saw off old rivals Batley 1.0 in the semi before powering past Thornill 3.0 in the final. Andrew Nattrass was Crofton’s player of the tournament. A tough looking B group but Crofton rode their look to reach the semi’s. Liam McClean put the ball and the keeper in the net to put Bradford Wildcats out and make it a second Crofton v Thornhill final, Jack Reape’s goal looked like it had won it for Crofton before a late equaliser. Step up keeper Ben Reilly who kept out 3 out of 4 Thornhill’s penalties to complete the double for Crofton. Louis Crossland was player of the tournament Brilliant lads! ,
Crofton played there second tournament of the weekend at Thornes and got off to a fine start winning normy 1 nil ozzy scoring the winner Crofton played straight after against Hemsworth despite being the far better team it ended 0 0 we then played thornes b and again came away with a 0 0 Crofton then played kellingley wozzer scored 2 to give us a 2 1 win in the final league match ozzy got his hatrick to give us a 3 0 win over Thornes A, in the semi we played Normy mcdermott got his hatrick and ozzy got on the score sheet to give us a 4 0 win in the final we played Thornes B winning 3 1 goals came from danny mcdermott and ozzy.
well done wozzer, grant, wrighty, ben, danny, callum, mcdermott and ozzy keep up the hard work lads!
Crofton set off with a bad start losing there first game to monk fryston 3 2 goals came from wrighty and ozzy the second game upped there pace and won bramley juniors 1 nil goal coming from wrighty third game crofton won kippax athletic 3 1 with mcdermott hitting his hatrick the fourth we played pythons winning 4 nil goals came from callum mcdermott and ozzy 2 we then went on to the semi final to play kippax welfare were it was 1 1 after extra the goal came from ozzy we then went to penalties after the 5 taken it was still a tie so in knock outs wozzer made a fantastic save with pressure on dom who scored his to take us through to final, in the final the lads played there best game ever in the final to give us a 3 nil victory over bramley goals came from ben ozzy and callum.
CROFTON WENT TO THERE SECOND TOURNAMENT IN THE WEEKEND BUT COUND'NT REPEAT SATURDAYS WIN, CROFTON STARTED OF BY WINNING AIRDALE 3 NIL GOALS CAME FROM HINITT AND CALLUM 2, THEN PLAYED ST JOES WINNING 4 1 WOZZER AND HINITT BOTH HIT 2 NEXT GAME AGAINST NORMY A WAS 0 0 WE THEN PLAYED THORNESB WINNING 2 NIL GOALS FROM CALLUM AND BEN NEXT WE PLAYED NORMY B WINNING 2 0 DANNY AND HINITT SCORING IN THE FINAL GROUPS STAGE WE PLAYED THORNES A WITH HINITT SCORING 2 GIVING US A 2 NIL WE TO FINISH TOP OF THE TABLE, WE WENT ON TO PLAY NORMY B IN THE SEMI WHICH WAS 0 0 TAKING US TO A PENALTY SHOOT OUT FLETCHER MADE SOME GREAT SAVES TO TAKE US TO THE FINAL TO LOSE TO ST'JOE WHO WE BEAT 4 1 IN THE GROUP STAGES THE SUN MUST OF PLAYED ITS PART AND THE LONG WAITS IN BETWEEN GAMES HEADS UP LADS YA CANT WIN THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite the poor turnout at training Crofton scraped a team to together for Bramley gala. Straight forward league only no knockout stage. Worst possible start losing 1.0 to Seacroft first game, that out of the way, the boys recovered winning the next three games scoring 10 goals along the way which meant the gala was decided how it should be: on the last match of the day. Crofton v Bramley: A win for either side handed them the trophy while a draw meant victory for Seacroft who could only sit and watch. Bramley threw everything at Crofton but couldn’t find a way past defenders Sam Mackay and player of the tournament Ben Fowler and with less than a minute left Matty Tate fired home to win it for Crofton and win them the tournament on goal difference. You made us sweat today lads but brilliant result; let’s hope for a better turn out Tuesday night!
CROFTON GOT OFF TO A GOOD START WINNING KELLINGLEY 2 0 GOALS COME FROM MIKEY AND A SUPER VOLLEY FROM McDERMOTT, THEN WE PLAYED STRAIGHT AFTER AGAINST GARFORTH WINNING 3 0 GOALS McDERMOTT, MIKEY AND ROBBIE WE WON THE FINAL GROUP GAME AGAINST WORTLEY 6 1 WITH WARREN HITTING HIS HATRICK, AND MIKEY HINITT AND DOM ALL GETTING ON THE SCORE SHEET, CROFTON FINISHED TOP IN THE GROUP AND PLAYED BEVERLEY IN THE SEMI WHICH WAS 1 0 GOAL COMING FROM WARREN TO TAKES US TO THE FINAL AGAINST KELLINGLEY WHERE WE NEVER LOOKED LIKE CONCIDING AS WE WERE THE BETTER TEAM ALL THE LADS KEPT UP THE HARD WORK WHICH PAID OFF TO SEE WARREN HIT ANOTHER 2 GOALS TO MAKE US TOURNAMENT WINNERS
WELL DONE CAPTAIN McDERMOTT, WARREN, MIKEY, HINITT, ROBBIE, JOE, DOM AND SCREETON LETS KEEP IT UP LADS
